Forklift Operator

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely loading, unloading, moving, and storing products throughout the facility while maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate has previous forklift experience, works well in a fast-paced environment, follows safety procedures, and is comfortable handling inventory and warehouse materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
  • Move products and materials to designated warehouse locations.
  • Place incoming inventory in assigned racks, staging areas, or storage locations.
  • Pull and stage products for outgoing shipments.
  • Follow instructions from the Logistics Coordinator or Warehouse Supervisor regarding product placement.
  • Verify product quantities and identify damaged or incorrect materials.
  • Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate inventory locations.
  • Keep warehouse aisles, docks, and work areas clean and organized.
  • Properly stack and secure products to prevent damage.
  • Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment problems immediately.
  • Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous forklift operating experience required.
  • Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift; stand-up, reach truck, or other equipment experience is a plus.
  • Previous warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a warehouse team.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required by the position.
