Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Sanitation Technician for a food manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary production environment while ensuring compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

SHIFT: 1pm-10pm, occasionally Saturdays for a half day.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company sanitation procedures.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, work areas, restrooms, and other facility areas.
• Follow detailed work instructions while cleaning equipment and production areas.
• Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals according to established guidelines and instructions.
• Clean, inspect, and properly store sanitation equipment, including mops, buckets, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report any equipment damage, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards to management.
• Maintain a safe work environment and immediately report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and work schedules.
• Work independently and efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year in food manufacturing sanitation
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn new methods and procedures.
• Strong attendance and punctuality record.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work in wet, dusty, and fast-paced environments.
• Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders.
• Frequent bending, stretching, twisting, reaching, and lifting.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to push, pull, carry, and move equipment and materials.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
