We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Sorters for AM and PM shifts. The Sorter is responsible for inspecting, sorting, and organizing recyclable materials and packaging products to ensure quality standards are met. This role requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Essential Responsibilities

• Sort plastic, pallets, packaging materials, and other recyclable products according to company standards.
• Inspect materials for quality, contamination, or damage and separate items accordingly.
• Remove non-conforming materials and dispose of waste properly.
• Organize and stage sorted materials for processing, baling, or shipment.
• Maintain production flow by ensuring materials are sorted accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Communicate material or equipment issues to supervisors promptly.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse and forklift teams.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, recycling, or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
