Production Assistant

Express Employment Professional is currently hiring for a Production Assistant for our client in Buffalo, NY. This is a hands-on production position supporting the day-to-day operations of our metal print facility.

 

Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30am-3:30pm

Pay Rate: $20/hour

 

Duties:

• Machine Operation & Setup: Operate and prepare printers for daily production, including routine cleaning, setup, and running scheduled print jobs. Load paper rolls onto the printer as needed

• Load and unload aluminum sheets and operate the CNC machine using existing pre-programmed files, with the opportunity to learn simple custom layouts in Vectric software.

• Cut and assemble MDF back frames for finished metal prints using production equipment (miter saw, chop saw, panel saw) and ensure products are ready for final assembly. 

• Receive incoming freight deliveries at the loading dock and transport heavy shipments up to the shop floor. Haul completed crates and heavy outgoing shipments down to the dock for freight pickups.

•  Support overall production flow by staging materials for the rest of the team, maintaining an organized and clean work area, and proactively communicating any production, safety, or quality concerns. 

• Must have steel toe boots
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must have excellent tape measuring skills and mechanical ability

Quaifications: 

• Experience with mechanical assembly, or general production.

• Able to read a tape measure and calculate basic measurements

• Comfortable using basic computer software and eager to learn new equipment.

• Capable of safely lifting heavy materials (aluminum sheets, large paper rolls,

• Framing/packaging materials, and crates) throughout the day.

• Be reliable, detail-oriented, and work well within a small team environment
