CNC Swiss-Type Machine Operator

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on CNC Swiss-Type Machine Operator with prior experience operating Tsugami Swiss-type CNC machines. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, quality-focused, and comfortable taking an active role in the machining process.

This is not a button-pushing position. We are looking for an operator who understands the machining process, takes ownership of their work, and prefers using manual measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers, to verify part quality.

The successful candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Schedule

• Shift: 1^st or 2^nd
• Hours: 6am-4:30pm Monday- Friday |4:30 p.m. – 2:30 a.m., Monday–Friday
• Overtime: Must be available as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Tsugami Swiss-type CNC machines to produce precision-machined components.
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed to maintain part quality.
• Inspect parts using manual measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and part specifications.
• Recognize machining issues, troubleshooting problems, and take initiative to resolve them.
• Maintain consistent quality standards and follow established procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production, quality, and machine performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Prior CNC machine operating experience required.
• Experience operating Tsugami Swiss-type CNC machines strongly preferred.
• Strong preference for hands-on operators who understand machining beyond loading parts and pushing buttons.
• Proficiency using manual calipers and micrometers to inspect parts.
• Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail.
• Quality-conscious and committed to producing accurate, consistent parts.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete tasks in an organized manner.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Good attendance and dependability are essential.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
