Warehouse & Shipping Specialist

Consumer Logistics Technician

Location: White City, Oregon
Pay: $20.00 per hour

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse & Shipping Specialist for a local company in White City. This position is responsible for preparing and processing daily shipments, picking and packing orders, coordinating with freight carriers, and ensuring products arrive safely and accurately.

This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse or shipping experience who is comfortable using computers, working with detailed paperwork, and staying active throughout the workday.

Job Duties

• Pick, pull, pack, and ship daily customer and retail orders

• Prepare products for shipment according to established packaging procedures

• Verify products, quantities, shipping addresses, and routing information

• Create and print shipping labels, case labels, packing lists, and bills of lading

• Process orders using electronic shipping and order-management software

• Coordinate pickups and deliveries with suppliers, freight carriers, and logistics partners

• Monitor domestic and international shipments

• Assist in resolving shipping delays, discrepancies, or missing information

• Prepare required documentation for international and hazardous-material shipments

• Maintain accurate shipping records

• Keep the warehouse and shipping area clean, safe, and organized

• Follow all company safety, environmental, and shipping procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Previous warehouse, shipping, logistics, order-picking, or fulfillment experience preferred

• Comfortable using computers and learning new shipping software

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to read, count, sort, and verify products and shipping documents

• Basic math and record-keeping skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, vendors, and freight carriers

• Willingness and ability to complete required IATA shipping certification

• Ability to learn and follow DOT/IATA hazardous-material shipping requirements

• Dependable, organized, and able to identify and report problems promptly

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds

• Ability to lift boxes, containers, bottles, and bags, including overhead when necessary

• Comfortable standing and walking for most of the workday

• Ability to operate a dolly and other standard warehouse equipment

• Good manual dexterity, strength, endurance, and flexibility
