Express Employment Professionals, Laguna Hills is recruiting for an Accounting Specialist.

Service Line: Contract, Full-time (Up to 6 Months)

Pay: Up to $27.00/Hr.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM

 Responsibilities:

* Process property tax accounting transactions and maintain accurate records
* Prepare and process property tax payments, adjustments, and related documentation
* Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
* Process cash receipts, deposits, and account reconciliations
* Prepare journal entries, financial reports, and supporting schedules
* Maintain fixed asset and accounting records
* Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related transactions as needed
* Respond to accounting inquiries from internal departments and customers
* Support month-end, year-end, and special accounting projects

 Requirements:

* Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience required
* Property tax accounting experience strongly preferred
* General ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable experience
* Payroll experience is a plus
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Reliable and dependable work ethic
