We are looking for a full-time receptionist to join a great team in Eureka, CA! The pay is $16.90/hr.
This job contributes to the company's success by carrying out day-to-day work orders given by the Office Manager. Thereby achieving business results while fulfilling our mission to enrich the lives of others by restoring our customers’ property, supporting our community, and developing the next generation in skilled trades. The Receptionist is a working member of the office staff. The receptionist reports to the Office Manager.
Summary of Essential Key Responsibilities
Note: Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Execute the operation, organization, and cleanliness of the front office.
- Learn characteristics of new systems and equipment in the office industry and update skills to adapt to changing technology.
- Ensure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship, and polite communication.
- Attend company meetings as requested by management.
- Responsible for the efficient and profitable use of the company’s time, Labor, and materials.
- Protect the company’s property; do not use, nor allow others to use, company property without permission and according to policy.
- Uphold office conduct: no abusive or foul language is to be tolerated; radios should be played quietly; music should be appropriate; and absolutely no horseplay.
- Report potential work obstacles and possible solutions to the Office Manager.
- Responsible for personal and project quality control.
- Uphold, coach, and hold ourselves and others accountable to our mission and core values.
- Opening and Editing Jobs in Job Dox, Encircle, and QuickBooks
- Creating and Editing IRF
- Downloading and Filing in OneDrive, Job Dox, Encircle, etc.
- Communicating with Managers and Coordinators about jobs
- Social Media: Instagram, Facebook, and Website
- Doing Admin tasks for Managers
- Answering Phones
- Sending and Receiving Faxes
- Making Mailers
- Refilling Office forms
- Managing Job Folders
- Taking customer payments
Qualifications: Knowledge and experience with:
- Current practices, materials, and equipment used in the office industry.
- Safety and Health regulations and practices pertinent to the office.
- Capabilities in computer applications, systems, and hardware used for office work.
- JobDox, Encircle, T-sheets, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite; Mainly Excel, OneDrive, Word, and Outlook.
- General reception work
- Filing
- Customer Service
- Answering Phones
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to learn characteristics of new systems and equipment of the office trade and update skills to adapt to changing technology
- Understanding of industry receptionist practices
- Maintains a high level of craftsman skill in the reception industry
- Position requires vision to read printed materials and computer screens; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work

Education:
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying:
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade
Working Conditions:
The typical work week is Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The nature of our company work is disaster restoration and emergency services. In order to fulfill our commitment to excellent customer service and good community service, we all expect to share the load by making occasional sacrifices of extra work time when necessary.
