Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a well-established telecommunications company seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their growing team. Pay & Schedule

• Starting at $20+/hour, based on experience
• Monday-Friday daytime hours
• Full-time, long-term opportunity
• No regular weekends

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger records
• Prepare and post journal entries and accruals
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Code vendor invoices, purchase orders, journal entries, and bank transactions
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Maintain inventory and fixed asset records
• Prepare financial statements and assist with audit preparation
• Complete regulatory filings and telecommunications financial reporting
• Review subscriber billing records for accuracy
• Process payroll and maintain payroll documentation
• Maintain 911 address records and other company records
• Respond to requests from internal departments and provide accounting support
• Provide backup customer service support as needed
• Complete additional accounting, administrative, and office support duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Experience with NISC software is preferred
• Telecommunications, utility, or construction accounting experience is a plus
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
• Experience in administrative or customer service work is a plus
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
