Advanced Maintenance Technician 

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This hands-on position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing equipment issues, and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and other equipment issues.
• Repair and maintain machinery to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Perform equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance concerns.
• Assist with equipment installations and modifications.

Facility Support

• Perform general facility maintenance as needed.
• Assist with repairs involving welding, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry.
• Operate maintenance tools and equipment safely.
• Support other maintenance personnel and departments as workload requires.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Adhere to Lockout/Tagout and other safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment concerns.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, and preventative maintenance practices.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational or technical training in industrial maintenance, machine repair, millwright, or a related field.
• Experience with welding, plumbing, HVAC, or electrical repair.
• Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working at heights or in various industrial environments.
