Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This position is responsible for maintaining common areas, preparing spaces for occupancy, and ensuring the facility meets high standards of cleanliness and organization.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable interacting professionally with residents, visitors, and team members while completing daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Clean and maintain shared areas including hallways, entryways, restrooms, stairways, and common spaces.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sanitizing, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and restocking supplies.
• Prepare vacant units and spaces for new occupancy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment throughout the facility.
• Properly use cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety issues, or supply needs when identified.

Resident & Customer Interaction

• Provide friendly and professional interactions with residents and visitors.
• Communicate respectfully while maintaining appropriate workplace boundaries.
• Balance customer service with the ability to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Demonstrate patience, professionalism, and respect when assisting others.

Safety & Quality Standards

• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly.
• Maintain attention to detail and complete work thoroughly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning, janitorial, housekeeping, or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Professional communication skills and ability to interact positively with others.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a residential, commercial, or facility environment.
• Experience maintaining common areas and preparing spaces for occupancy.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude.
