Night Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:45 PM – 7:00 AM (Start Monday night, end Saturday morning) Type: Full-Time, Evaluation to Hire Start Date: Monday, September 21, 2026
Express Employment Professionals – Lafayette is hiring a Rubber Mixing Operator for a local manufacturing company. These are full-time, evaluation-to-hire opportunities with great long-term potential. Position will attend orientation on day shift the week of September 22, then move into their assigned shift.
Operate rubber and plastic compounding equipment using computer-controlled systems
Monitor material levels and maintain a continuous production flow
Review lab results to ensure product quality meets specifications
Troubleshoot equipment and resolve minor machine issues using system diagnostics
Work closely with other operators to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
Rotate across different machines and tasks to support team flexibility
Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following 5S and safety standards
Use proper PPE and follow all safety protocols
Report production updates and issues to team leads and supervisors
Follow environmental procedures to reduce waste and impact
Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Basic computer and troubleshooting skills
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and production procedures
Strong work ethic and reliability are a must
Able to lift, stand, and move throughout a shift
Must be available to start the week of September 21, 2026
Pay: $25.00/hour
