Job Title: Material Handler
City and State: South Elgin, IL
Pay Rate:
Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm
Employment Type: Full-Time
Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and accurate receiving, staging, transport, and inventory management of raw materials while supporting production and logistics operations in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming material shipments using material handling equipment.
- Transport and stage materials throughout the facility to support production requirements.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through labeling, cycle counts, inventory transactions, and discrepancy reporting.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely while completing required inspections and documentation.
- Follow quality, safety, housekeeping, and traceability procedures while supporting shipping and receiving activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, or in a similar manufacturing environment preferred.
- Forklift experience or certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification required.
- Ability to read packing slips, purchase orders, work orders, and related documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
