Blaster/Painter

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, masking, and sandblasting.

• Operate industrial blasting and painting equipment safely.

• Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings according to specifications.

• Inspect completed work to verify coating quality, coverage, and finish.

• Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.

• Read and follow work orders, drawings, and coating specifications.

• Assist with material handling and support production schedules.

• Follow all safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.

Requirements:

• Industrial blasting and painting experience preferred.

• Knowledge of industrial coatings, surface preparation, and painting techniques.

• Ability to safely operate blasting and painting equipment.

• Familiarity with OSHA safety practices and PPE requirements.

• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Must live within 30 minutes of the worksite.

• Must be available to start immediately after hire.

• Must wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and cotton shirts.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb frequently.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

• Ability to work in an industrial environment.

• Must wear required PPE, including respirators and protective clothing.

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM with a one-hour lunch. Some Saturdays may be required until noon.

Pay:

• $20–$23 per hour, based on experience.
