Material Handler

Located in Sarasota, FL

Salary: $18.50/hour

We are partnered with a business who are seeking a dependable and motivated Material Handler to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for the safe movement, storage, tracking, and preparation of materials used in production and distribution. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, forklift operating skills, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Safely load and unload containers and trucks using a sit-down forklift.
• Label, organize, stock, and retrieve materials from warehouse racks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques.
• Accurately document material transfers, lot numbers, and inventory movements.
• Repackage materials as needed to support production and shipping requirements.
• Operate pallet-wrapping equipment to prepare products for storage or shipment.
• Assemble and fill water filtration tanks.
• Program water filtration systems (training provided).
• Modify and assemble components using basic hand tools.
• Assist with inventory counts, receiving activities, and general warehouse operations.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures; identify, correct, and report safety or environmental concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Work overtime and rotating shifts as needed to support business operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of six (6) months of warehouse experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and basic power tools.
• Previous forklift experience and/or forklift certification (preferred).
• Experience with inventory management and receiving processes (preferred).

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Pay Rate: $18.50/hour
