Position Summary:

The Full-Charge Accountant’s primary responsibility is the production of accurate and timely financial information in accordance with the company’s internal policies and procedures. This position is responsible for all daily accounting tasks of the company. This position reports to the Managing Member.

 

Position Duties:

·         Oversee the monthly and annual financial close process.

·         Accurately create, post and categorize transactions in the general ledger.  Including, but not limited to:

a.       Creating invoices daily for accounts receivable

b.       Acquiring approval of and the entry of vendor invoices daily for accounts payable

c.       Processing customer payments and deposits daily

d.       Processing and recording various outgoing payments

e.       Processing credit card transactions

f.        Preparing schedules

g.       Preparing adjusting journal entries

·         Oversight of budgeting and forecasting.

·         Oversight of various required tax filings to maintain compliance.

·         Manage the expense reporting process and company credit card accounts.

·         Manage the preparation and recording of payroll transactions.

·         Manage various annual renewals such as business licenses and contractor’s licenses.

·         Manage the collection of past due accounts.

·         Oversee annual payroll audit.

·         Produce ad hoc financial reports/analysis to support management decision-making.

·         Oversee the onboarding of new employees.

·         Maintain physical and electronic records (i.e. employee files, customer files, vendor files…etc.).

·         Proactively update leadership on the status of assigned tasks and responsibilities.

·         Develop an understanding of the responsibilities of each department within the company as well as the responsibilities of all co-workers.

·         Oversight of other duties will be based on present workload.

·         Calculate, prepare, and submit 1099s to subcontractors and the IRS.

·         Completing and maintaining commission statements for sales personnel.

·         Overseeing and analyzing insurance policies and related transactions.

·         Download credit card charges into AIS.

·         Manage employee dates for specific benefit parameters (sign-on bonuses, etc.).

·         Maintain the company Line of Credit.

·         Responsible for cash/treasury management.

·         Overseeing outsourced functions (IT, Payroll, and Accounting (account reconciliations)).

·         Manage Intuit Timesheets (adding new employees/customers and managing user access).

 

 

Position Requirements:

·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting .

·         5-6 years of progressive financial/corporate accounting experience.

·         General understanding of US GAAP.

·         Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word.

·         Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop accounting software.

·         Possess strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.

·         Must be detail-oriented with strict attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

·         Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

·         Ability to work with others as a team and maintain a positive attitude.

·         Be willing to take on miscellaneous tasks to "get the job done."
