INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC — NIGHT SHIFT

Pay: $26.00–$30.00 per hour
Location: High Springs, FL
Schedule: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., rotating 12-hour shifts
Job Type: Full-time, contract-to-hire

 

 

A well-established manufacturing company in High Springs is hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for its night-shift maintenance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industrial electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience who is looking for stable employment, consistent overtime, strong benefits after permanent hire, and opportunities for rapid pay advancement.

 

COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE

• Starting pay of $26.00 per hour
• Rapid advancement potential up to approximately $30.00 per hour within 90 days
• Rotating 12-hour night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• One 36-hour week followed by one 48-hour week
• Eight hours of overtime during the 48-hour week
• Every other weekend off
• Average of approximately 42 hours per week

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
• Use and calibrate electrical testing equipment
• Repair plant lighting and electrical systems
• Complete general maintenance on manufacturing machinery
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production issues
• Maintain accurate maintenance records
• Operate a forklift after completing required certification
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Follow all safety policies and standard operating procedures
• Participate in occasional on-call coverage as business needs require

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of PLC systems
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints
• Experience working with manufacturing machinery and equipment
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to provide your own basic set of tools
• Forklift experience is helpful
• Ability to communicate clearly and complete written documentation
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
• Ability to work a permanent night-shift schedule

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work around industrial equipment
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolding, silos, and similar structures
• Ability to work in close quarters and varying weather conditions
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
