A Transload warehouse facility in Chicago is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our Chicago operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing outstanding customer support, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure efficient service.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone and email
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipments, scheduling, and service requests
  • Enter and maintain accurate customer orders and shipment information
  • Coordinate with operations, dispatch, and warehouse personnel to ensure timely service
  • Monitor order status and proactively communicate updates to customers
  • Resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain customer records and documentation
  • Prepare reports and perform general administrative duties
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and accuracy

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous customer service, logistics, transportation, or administrative experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent data entry and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team
