We are partnering with several employers near the Oklahoma City metro area that are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountants to join their teams. These opportunities span a variety of industries and offer the potential to gain valuable experience through contract and contract-to-hire assignments.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Perform bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations
• Analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and audit preparation
• Support accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bookkeeping functions as needed
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
• Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• CPA designation or CPA candidate is a plus, but not required
• 1–3+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting
• Experience in fund accounting, real estate accounting, public accounting, or corporate accounting is highly desirable
• Working knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas such as VLOOKUPs
• Experience with QuickBooks, TaxDome, or similar accounting software is preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines
