Pipe Layer / Utility Laborer

Pay: $28–$34/hour EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Start Time: 6:00 AM
Hours: Approximately 50 hours per week
Typical Day: 10–12 hour shifts, with some shorter Fridays depending on workload and project schedules
Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Union

Build More Than Pipe—Help Build Central Oregon

We're looking for an experienced Pipe Layer / Utility Laborer to join a growing civil construction team working on some of Central Oregon's expanding residential developments.

Current projects focus on underground utilities and site development for new single-family home communities, with future work expected to include larger infrastructure and public works projects. This is an opportunity to get in with a company that has a strong backlog of work, consistent hours, and room for long-term growth.

What You'll Be Doing

• Install, align, and connect underground utility pipe
• Work directly in trenches performing utility installation
• Utilize lasers, grades, and measuring equipment to maintain proper elevations
• Prepare trench bottoms and utility bedding
• Backfill and compact trenches
• Read and interpret blueprints, grades, and utility plans
• Support site development and land preparation projects
• Work safely around existing utilities and construction activities
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements

What We're Looking For

• Previous pipe laying or underground utility experience required
• Understanding of trench work, grades, and underground infrastructure
• Ability to read plans and follow project specifications
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Team player who is willing to jump in and help wherever needed
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver's license preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Comfortable working in trenches and uneven terrain
• Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and digging
• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout a 10–12 hour shift
• Ability to work outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions
