The role requires precision, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate bandsaw equipment — Set up and run semi‑automatic or manual bandsaws to cut materials according to job specifications.

• Measure and verify materials — Use measuring tools to ensure accurate cuts and maintain tight tolerances. Accurate measurement is described as vital for the role.

• Adjust machine settings — Set cutting speeds, blade tension, guides, and stops based on material type and thickness.

• Inspect finished cuts — Check cut pieces for conformance to specifications and mark identifying data when required.

• Maintain equipment — Perform routine lubrication, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of the saw.

• Follow safety protocols — Maintain strict adherence to safety guidelines and use required PPE.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bandsaw operation proficiency — Experience with semi‑automatic bandsaws preferred.

• Blueprint and diagram reading — Ability to interpret drawings, diagrams, and cut lists.

• Measurement accuracy — Skilled in using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and steel rules.

• Physical stamina — Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.

• Attention to detail — Ensures precise cuts and consistent quality.
