Sales Tax Compliance & Financial Analysis Professional

 | Opelousas, LA | Starting at $100K/Year | Full-Time

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Compliance & Financial Analysis professional to support sales and property tax compliance while assisting with financial analysis, cash flow projections, and annual budget preparation. This role offers flexibility for mid-level to senior-level professionals based on experience.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain and administer the sales tax engine (Vertex), including submitting transactional data files

• Review and approve Vertex-generated sales tax returns

• Ensure ongoing compliance with sales and property tax regulations through research and review

• Prepare property tax reporting and supporting documentation

• Coordinate with external accounting firms for income tax filings

• Assist with cash flow projections and annual budget preparation

• Perform ongoing financial analysis to support business decisions

• Manage routine intercompany transactions

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Experience in accounting, tax, compliance, or financial analysis

• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Experience with Vertex or Avalara is a plus, but not required

• Experience with Power BI is a plus

 

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday
  Day Shift

Pay:

• Starting at $100,000/year; Compensation based on experience
