A growing hospitality group is seeking an experienced and motivated Line / Prep Cook to join the kitchen team for a new dining and entertainment concept. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about preparing quality food, working in a fast-paced environment, and contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
The Line / Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items to recipe specifications, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and supporting overall kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Complete daily food prep to ensure kitchen readiness
Prepare and complete food tickets accurately and in a timely manner during service
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
Properly store, rotate, and label food products using FIFO procedures
Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing kitchen inventory
Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service
Assist with opening, closing, and cleaning duties
Support other kitchen team members as needed during busy service periods
Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar kitchen role preferred. ServSafe preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Food preparation and knife skills
Safe operation of commercial kitchen equipment
Food safety and sanitation practices
