Sales Tax Compliance & Financial Analysis Lead 

 Opelousas, LA | $100K+ DOE | Full-Time

 

We are seeking an experienced Sales Tax Compliance & Financial Analysis professional to support tax compliance and financial analysis functions for a growing organization. This role focuses on sales tax and property tax compliance while also assisting with cash flow projections, annual budget preparation, and ongoing financial analysis. This position may be structured at a mid-level or senior level depending on experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer the sales tax engine (Vertex), including submitting transactional data files

• Review and approve Vertex-generated sales tax returns

• Ensure ongoing compliance with sales and property tax regulations through research and review

• Prepare property tax reporting and supporting documentation

• Coordinate with external accounting firm for income tax filings

• Assist with cash flow projections and annual budget preparation

• Support ongoing financial analysis and reporting

• Manage routine intercompany transactions as needed

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

• Experience in accounting, tax, compliance, or financial analysis required

• Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines

• Experience with Vertex or Avalara is a plus

• Experience with Power BI is a plus

 

Schedule:

• $100K+Annually DOE
