Now Hiring: Logistics Coordinator (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Romeoville, IL
Pay: $21/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM(flexibility required for overtime as needed)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Logistics Coordinator to join a growing logistics operation in Romeoville. This temp-to-hire opportunity offers strong potential for permanent placement with a well-established company.

In this role, you will support the coordination and execution of outbound shipments across distribution centers, ensuring accurate, timely, and cost-effective delivery. This position blends office-based coordination with hands-on warehouse involvement, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Coordination

• Prepare and process shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing lists, and labels
• Coordinate and schedule LTL, FTL, and parcel shipments
• Print and apply shipping labels; prepare orders for dispatch
• Track shipments and update delivery status across internal systems and customer platforms
• Ensure all shipments are picked up and delivered on time

Communication & Operations

• Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams via phone and email
• Coordinate pickups and resolve scheduling issues
• Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure shipping accuracy and workflow efficiency 

Quality Control & Problem Resolution

• Perform quality checks (QC) on outgoing shipments
• Investigate and resolve shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies
• Process carrier claims and escalate issues when necessary 

Warehouse Support

• Assist with staging, verifying shipments, and organizing materials
• Occasionally lift or move products (up to 50 lbs)
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety procedures 

What We’re Looking For

• 2–3 years of logistics or shipping experience required
• Strong understanding of LTL shipments, BOLs, and shipping coordination processes
• Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to multitask and quickly learn new systems and processes 
• Willingness to be cross-trained and take on additional responsibilities
• Flexibility to work overtime when needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (as required)
• Bilingual Spanish a plus, but not required
