Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, store, and transport materials throughout a warehouse and manufacturing environment. This role supports production and distribution operations by ensuring accurate inventory movement, maintaining safety standards, and meeting operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate sit-down, stand-up, reach, or pallet-jack forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Transport raw materials, finished goods, and packaging supplies to designated locations.
• Stage materials for production lines and remove completed products from production areas.
• Verify product quantities and inspect materials for damage before movement.
• Maintain accurate inventory transactions using scanners, warehouse management systems, or paperwork.
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues promptly.
• Follow all OSHA, safety, quality, and warehouse procedures.
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and warehouse organization.
• Maintain clean and orderly storage areas to support efficient operations.
• Work closely with warehouse, shipping, receiving, and production teams to meet daily objectives.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous forklift operating experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and material handling procedures.
• Basic computer and inventory tracking skills preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and environments.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment for extended periods.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced warehouse and distribution setting.
• Exposure to moving equipment, storage racks, and shipping operations.
