Pay Rate: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Overtime Available
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Grounds Worker to join our growing tree service team. This position is responsible for assisting tree crews by maintaining safe and clean job sites, removing debris, operating equipment, and supporting tree removal and trimming operations. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, can perform physically demanding tasks, and has a strong commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Drag, stack, and load branches, brush, logs, and debris.
- Operate blowers and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas before, during, and after projects.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
- Direct traffic and maintain safe work zones when necessary.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment and vehicles.
- Support crew members with general labor duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous landscaping, tree service, construction, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly throughout the workday.
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Experience operating chainsaws, chippers, or heavy equipment is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and standing.
- Ability to work on uneven terrain and around heavy equipment.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work for extended periods
