Express Employment Professionals of Santa Cruz County is seeking a friendly, energetic, outgoing, organized, people-person to support our team. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone returning to the workforce, transitioning from retail, hospitality, customer service, education, nonprofit work, or entry level office support, and looking to do meaningful work in a supportive environment. 

We're looking for someone who truly enjoys helping people, likes variety in their day, isn't shy about talking with people in person and over the phone, who's happy to engage with walk in visitors, grab incoming phone calls, make outbound calls, and who thrives in a support role. 

What You'll Do:

Each day is a bit different, but duties will include:

• Handling job seeker inquiries and sharing next steps in our process
• Conducting initial candidate screens to asses skills, areas of interest, commute preferences, etc.
• Administering tests, scheduling drug screens, submitting time sensitive background checks
• Assisting our team with tasks related to professional, office service, light industrial and skilled trades recruiting 
• Assisting with onboarding and employment documentation
• Helping to maintain applicant records and recruiting databases
• Supporting job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach 
• Providing general office support to the team.
