MIG Welder/Fabricator

Rochester Hills, MI | Contract-to-Hire | 58 Hours Per Week

A custom industrial equipment manufacturer in Rochester Hills is seeking a MIG Welder/Fabricator to join their team. This is a hands-on role working on custom equipment and assemblies in a fabrication shop environment.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys fabrication work, working from prints, and being involved in the full build process rather than repetitive production welding.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 6:00am–4:30pm
• Saturdays: 6:00am–2:30pm
• Typical schedule averages approximately 58 hours per week
• Two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch

Responsibilities

• MIG welding and fabrication of custom industrial equipment
• Read and work from blueprints and engineering drawings
• Fit, position, and assemble fabricated components
• Support general shop fabrication and assembly work
• Use hand tools, grinders, saws, measuring tools, and fabrication equipment
• Maintain quality and accuracy throughout builds
• Assist team members as needed to complete projects on schedule

Qualifications

• MIG welding and fabrication experience required
• Ability to read blueprints and work from prints
• Experience fitting and assembling parts
• TIG welding experience is a plus
• Familiarity with fabrication shop tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime
