POSITION SUMMARY:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper OR AP/AR Specialist to support accounting functions across multiple entities in a collaborative, small-office environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, values accuracy, and can thrive with minimal supervision.

 

Schedule: M-F between 8am-5pm

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including A/P and A/R processing

• Handle month-end and quarter-end closing activities

• Assist in compiling tax-related information and preparing 1099s

• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions

• Post and record bank deposits and vendor payments

• Maintain general ledger accounts and assist with journal entries, including payroll entries

• Support the preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets and profit & loss statements

• Collaborate with outside CPA/tax preparer during year-end and for ongoing compliance

• Help maintain and improve accounting procedures and recordkeeping systems

• Assist in budget tracking and comparing actuals to budgeted expenses

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date files for all financial records

EDUCATION:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping and accounting support experience

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

• Proficiency in QuickBooks (required) and Excel (intermediate to advanced)

• Experience with Microsoft Access is a plus

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, professional environment

• Clear and professional communication skills

• Proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic
