Assistant Production Manager – Landscaping $50,000 to $60,000 / Year

 

Our Client in the Landscaping Industry – Columbus, OH

Our client is seeking a hands-on Assistant Production Manager to support daily field operations, lead crews, and ensure high-quality commercial grounds maintenance work. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, coaching teams, and keeping jobs on schedule and up to standard.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Production Manager with daily crew operations and scheduling
• Provide direction, coaching, and leadership to Foremen and field crews
• Conduct site inspections and ensure work meets company and client expectations
• Identify and correct quality issues before leaving job sites
• Train employees on equipment use, safety, and productivity standards
• Assist with time tracking, LMN compliance, and labor performance
• Promote and enforce safety policies and daily equipment checks
• Communicate field updates and challenges to leadership

What You Need

• 2+ years of landscape or grounds maintenance experience
• Prior leadership or crew supervision experience preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate trucks, trailers, and landscape equipment
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License; must be insurable
• Bilingual skills a plus
