Specialized Recruiting Group – Irvine is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a large, well-established building materials distributor in the Irvine, CA area. This is a permanent, evaluation hire opportunity starting at $27.00 to $33.00/hour.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll and maintain employee records
• Prepare and submit reports
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Ensure accuracy of time and attendance systems
• Maintain compliance with applicable labor laws
• Assist employees with payroll inquiries

 

Requirements

• At least four years of payroll processing experience
• Strong knowledge of California labor laws
• Skilled with payroll systems
• Analytical and highly detail-oriented
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Multi-state payroll tax experience preferred
• Knowledge of payroll tax rules and compliance standards
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Professional, approachable, and easygoing demeanor
