Mechanical Assembler

We are searching for mechanically inclined individuals that enjoy working with their hands to join the team in Wixom, MI as a Mechanical Assembler.

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday to Friday
• Starting Pay Rate: $17.25 hour

The Mechanical Assembler will be working as part of a team to repair, refurbish and retrofit customized racking systems used for a variety of applications in manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Disassemble Rack and Dunnage components to prepare for welding and painting
• Utilize hand and power tools including screwdrivers, impact guns, drills, grinders, hammers, and pliers
• Operate a wire wheel to remove rust and debris from racks prior to painting
• Follow blueprints and work instructions for disassembly and reassembly processes
• Reassemble racks by installing bolts, fasteners, foam, and additional rack components
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to production and quality standards

Qualifications:

• Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to use hand tools and small machinery
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
