Accounting Assistant (Temporary – Part-Time)

Location: Silverton, OR

PAY: $24.00–$26.00/HR

 

A company in Silverton is seeking a temporary Accounting Assistant for an approximately 6-month assignment. This is a part-time opportunity working around 20 hours per week. More hours available depending on company needs.

 

Job Duties:

• Bank processing and AR cash application
• Enter and post AR, bank, and GL transactions
• Run Sage Day-End processing and post subledgers
• Maintain AR aging and resolve discrepancies
• Process ACH and Concur payment batches every Monday
• Investigate discrepancies and short payments
• Handle miscellaneous requests, reporting, data collection, and analysis
• Review unusual payments
• New vendor setup
• Communicate payment activity to stakeholders
• Process in-house bank intercompany activity twice per month
• Process payroll journal entries and uploads
• Monitor intercompany balances and clear outstanding items
• Close AR/AP and PO Receiving by deadlines
• Prepare AR aging reports
• Assist with raw material analysis
• Reserves review and analysis

Qualifications:

• Previous accounting experience required
• Experience with AR/AP, GL entries, and reconciliations preferred
• Sage software experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
