Hardware Installation Technician I

Pay: Up to $18/hr per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday  8:00am-4:30pm

 

Position Summary

Express Employment Professionals of Denton County are looking for a Hardware Installation Technician responsible for the installation, configuration, and deployment of IT hardware systems. This role ensures all installations are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards. The technician works closely with project managers and clients to deliver high-quality service, maintain accurate documentation, and support project success from setup through completion.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and verify project-specific hardware with customers
• Install, configure, and remove PC hardware and related equipment
• Ensure proper setup, connectivity, and cable management
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware installation issues
• Meet established installation timelines and deadlines
• Maintain accurate records, including timesheets, installation tickets, and inventory
• Communicate daily project status, delays, and requirements to Project Managers
• Provide prompt and professional customer support
• Operate power tools safely and effectively
• Ensure installations follow company standards and quality expectations
• Assist with project closeout and turnover to clients and service teams
• Comply with all company and client safety programs
• Perform general warehouse tasks between deployment assignments
• Travel as needed for out-of-town projects
• Complete additional duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of PC hardware, Windows, and iOS systems
• Industry certifications in PC hardware preferred
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a related technical or IT field
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, and sit for extended periods
• Frequent use of hands for tools and equipment handling
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Capable of reaching, carrying, and performing manual tasks
• Work performed indoors with occasional outdoor exposure to varying temperatures
