Job Summary: Express Employment Professionals in Bellingham is hiring a Machinist for a well-established company in Bellingham. You would be responsible for aligning honing engine blocks, repairing crankshafts, operating machine shop equipment, and completing high-quality functional and cosmetic engine repairs in a fast-paced shop environment.

Pay: $24-26/HR DOE
Schedule: Monday through Friday with some Saturdays- Day shift -6:30 AM-2:30 PM
Location: Bellingham, WA
Position Type: Evaluation Hire

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
-Perform functional and cosmetic repairs on cast iron and aluminum engine components
-Complete weld repairs on cylinder heads, engine blocks, and crankshafts
-Remove broken bolts and repair damaged threads
-Perform structural repairs and material build-up on engine castings
-Align hone engine blocks using specialized equipment
-Manufacture and install press-fit oil plugs from brass and aluminum
-Operate machine shop equipment, welders, grinders, and precision measuring tools
-Inspect engine parts to ensure quality and accuracy of repairs
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment
-Follow shop procedures and production timelines in a fast-paced environment
