Salary: $18.00 and up based on exp

A Sparta-area company is seeking a dependable and motivated Building / Lot Maintenance Technician to assist with maintaining company grounds, facilities, and equipment. This position will also require the operation and movement of trailers throughout the property, so a valid CDL license is required.

 

The ideal candidate will have previous maintenance experience, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform general building and property maintenance
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of company grounds and parking areas
  • Assist with minor repairs and upkeep of facilities
  • Operate lawn care and maintenance equipment as needed
  • Move, position, and back trailers safely on company property
  • Conduct routine inspections of trailers and report any issues
  • Ensure all work areas remain safe and hazard-free
  • Assist with additional maintenance and facility support tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Valid F Endorsement or CDL License required
  • Experience backing and maneuvering trailers required
  • Previous building, grounds, or lot maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to operate basic hand and power tools
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions
  • Must be able to lift, bend, stand, and work outdoors as needed

  • Indoor and outdoor work environment
  • Physical labor required throughout shift
  • Must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions
