About the Opportunity

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator for a leading agricultural/food manufacturing company in Plainview, TX. This position plays a critical role in promoting workplace safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across plant operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OSHA compliance, safety training, root cause analysis, and environmental regulations within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities regularly to identify safety, health, and environmental risks
• Develop and implement workplace safety procedures and inspection programs
• Conduct employee safety training, emergency preparedness training, and onboarding safety programs
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and maintain accurate safety documentation
• Investigate accidents and incidents using root cause analysis methodologies
• Maintain OSHA logs including Forms 300, 300A, and 301
• Support Return-to-Work programs and coordinate workers’ compensation follow-up
• Develop and lead plant Safety Committee meetings and training initiatives
• Track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to safety performance
• Assist with ISO-14001 environmental compliance initiatives
• Collaborate with plant leadership on safety improvements for equipment, processes, and procedures
• Coordinate with insurance carriers, contractors, and regulatory agencies regarding safety requirements
• Manage departmental safety budgets and expenditures
• Promote and enforce company-wide safety culture and 6S principles

Qualifications Education

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in:
• Environmental Health & Safety
• Agronomy
• Plant & Soil Science
• Agriculture
• Related field

Certifications Preferred

• Basic Supervisor Training
• HACCP
• GMPs

Experience

• 5+ years of EHS experience in:
• Agricultural Manufacturing
• Food Manufacturing
• Industrial Manufacturing environments

Required Skills

• Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and OSHA compliance
• Strong understanding of root cause analysis methodologies
• Expertise in 6S/continuous improvement concepts
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
