Overview
The Risk Services Administrative Coordinator supports claims intake, customer service, and daily departmental operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, service-minded professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and communicates clearly with customers, store teams, and internal staff.
Triage incoming claims and incidents from store locations.
Set up new claims and enter data into the Riskonnect RMIS system.
Serve as primary phone support for customers, claimants, and store management regarding claim inquiries and insurance coverage.
Manage incoming claim documentation, including photos, estimates, medical notes, and safety-related calls.
Manage and distribute departmental mail, email, and faxes.
Support insurance requests, certificate management, self-insurance reports, and policy administration.
Assist with liability claim assignment and provide backup for claim payment processing and charge invoices.
Prepare written correspondence, subrogation requests, new manager packets, provider panels, and risk-related project materials.
Lead scheduling and logistics for Risk Services team meetings and functions.
Collect claim-related documents from claimants, stores, repair facilities, and vendors.
Prepare claim communications, total loss documentation, vendor task assignments, and repair invoices.
Track recoveries, subrogation, and restitution.
Maintain the Department Operations Manual and prepare monthly claim and customer service metrics for leadership presentations.
Monitor layoff/termination reports and update Riskonnect; notify Sedgwick examiners of status changes.
Manage monthly reporting, specialized check requests, provider panel updates, and intranet content.
Prepare New Store Manager Packets and manage payments for Sedgwick fees and EAIP recoveries.
Sort and distribute daily email and mail for the Work Comp team.
Assist with Return-to-Work program coordination as needed.
Prepare shipping labels and coordinate product returns with the Adjustment Department.
Draft tender letters to manufacturers and suppliers.
Attach claim disposition documents and respond to customer/store inquiries regarding product claim status.
