Job Summary: Express Employment Professionals in Bellingham is hiring a Sawmill Planer/Operations Associate with forklift experience for a well-established sawmill in Whatcom County. Shift: Monday- Thursday 6:00 am-4:00 pm
Pay: $24.00 / HR
Position Type: Evaluation Hire
Location: Everson, WA

Job Duties:

• Work on the green chain pulling and handling lumber; must be able to lift 50–75 lbs consistently
• Assist with off-bearing duties, including feeding and trimming lumber going into the planer
• Support planer operations, including setup, maintenance, and learning grading standards within the first 30 days
• Perform general mill duties such as weed eating, wrapping/papering lumber, and spraying weeds
• Work closely with team members to maintain safety, quality, and production standards
• Be reliable, punctual, and open to overtime with no scheduling conflicts

 

Job Requirements:

• Forklift and large lifts experience required
• Strong work ethic and ability to perform physical, outdoor labor
• Ability to learn quickly and take direction in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work as part of a team
