We’re seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Truck Driver to a local lumber yard. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of materials to our customers, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and safe driving practices.

 

Pay: $20–$24/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time
License Requirement: Must have a valid CDL B

Job Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre-trip safety inspections on delivery equipment

• Load trucks manually or with a forklift prior to each delivery

• Verify accuracy of orders before departure

• Obtain final load checks from supervisor or coworker to ensure order accuracy and condition

• Deliver and unload materials at job sites, using proper equipment or by hand

• Record and return merchandise as needed, assisting with unloading for credit

• Complete delivery tickets and credit slips accurately

• Assist customers with questions regarding orders and returns

• Restock materials and organize warehouse areas as needed

• Process and return stock from customer returns

• Relay messages or requests from customers on-site

• Support other team members and departments as needed

• Maintain appropriate licensing and meet all Indiana DOT requirements

Job Requirements

• Valid CDL B license (required)

• Forklift experience

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly

• Basic knowledge of construction materials is preferred

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
