Seeking a motivated and reliable Hod Carrier (Laborer) to join a hardworking masonry crew. This role supports bricklayers and masons and is essential to maintaining an efficient job site.

Position Summary

As a Hod Carrier, you will play a key role in keeping projects moving by preparing materials, transporting supplies, and assisting skilled tradespeople. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that requires consistency, effort, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mix mortar and prepare materials for masons
  • Transport bricks and blocks using a handheld hod up scaffolding
  • Maintain a steady supply of materials to ensure continuous workflow
  • Set up and organize work areas
  • Assist with basic labor tasks such as:
    • Job site clean-up
    • Cutting bricks
    • Supporting re-pointing and jointing work
  • Follow safety guidelines while working on scaffolding and active job sites

Qualifications

  • No experience required – willing to train the right candidate
  • Previous masonry or construction experience is a plus (higher pay possible)
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow directions
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
