The Vice President of Property Operations/Management is an executive leadership role responsible for the overall performance, strategy, and operational excellence of the company’s multifamily portfolio. This role provides enterprise-level leadership across operations, drives long-term asset value, and ensures alignment between operational execution and ownership objectives. The Vice President plays a critical role in developing senior leaders, strengthening client relationships, and supporting portfolio growth through active participation in acquisitions and asset onboarding.

What You Get to Do! 
Enterprise Portfolio Leadership & Strategy
•    Provide executive oversight of the multifamily portfolio, ensuring alignment with company strategy and ownership objectives 
•    Establish and drive operational strategy across leasing, maintenance, resident experience, compliance, and risk management 
•    Identify portfolio-wide trends, risks, and opportunities; lead strategic initiatives to enhance performance and asset value 
Acquisitions, Due Diligence & Asset Onboarding
•    Partner with executive leadership on acquisitions to evaluate new investment opportunities 
•    Lead operational due diligence, including assessment of property condition, staffing, financial performance, and operational risk 
•    Provide underwriting insights related to expenses, capital needs, and operational upside 
•    Oversee seamless onboarding and stabilization plans for new assets to ensure alignment with performance expectations 
Senior Leadership Oversight
•    Lead and develop Regional Managers and senior operational leaders 
•    Establish performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability frameworks across the organization 
•    Build leadership bench strength through coaching, succession planning, and talent development 
Client & Ownership Strategy
•    Serve as a senior executive partner to ownership groups and key clients 
•    Lead high-level ownership meetings, portfolio reviews, and strategic planning discussions 
•    Act as the primary escalation point for complex, high-impact client matters 
•    Ensure consistent, proactive communication and alignment with client investment strategies 
Financial & Asset Performance
•    Own portfolio-wide financial performance, including NOI growth, occupancy, expense management, and revenue optimization 
•    Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes in partnership with senior operational leaders 
•    Align operational execution with asset management strategies to maximize long-term value 
Operational Excellence, Standards & Risk
•    Set and enforce company-wide operational standards, policies, and best practices 
•    Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, state and local regulations, and company policies 
•    Drive consistency, efficiency, and accountability across all properties and teams 

What You Will Bring…
•    15+ years of progressive experience in multifamily property management 
•    10+ years in senior/executive leadership roles (Senior Regional, Director, Vice President, or equivalent) 
•    Proven success leading large, complex, multi-market portfolios 
•    Demonstrated experience supporting acquisitions, due diligence, and asset onboarding 
•    Extensive experience in third-party property management environments 
•    Demonstrated ability to lead leaders and scale operational performance 
•    Deep expertise in multifamily financials, underwriting inputs, and asset strategy 
•    Strong experience working directly with ownership groups and institutional clients 
•    Familiarity with State and local regulations
