We are seeking a skilled Lead Die Setter to coordinate automatic punch press operations in a high-volume metal stamping environment. You will be responsible for setting dies, maintaining production capacity, and leading a team of setters and operators while ensuring strict adherence to safety standards.

1st shift Hours: 6a - 2:30p 

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership: Direct and train Die Setters, Machine Operators, and Material Handlers based on production priorities.

• Technical Setup: Set dies for presses ranging from 35 to 300 tons (Bliss, Sutherland, Verson).

• Quality Control: Inspect parts and raw materials (steel, aluminum, etc.) using blueprints, micrometers, calipers, and protractors.

• Operations: Monitor feeder, cradle, and die operations for malfunctions; manage material movement and scrap removal using forklifts and handling equipment.

• Safety: Maintain a clean workspace and strictly follow OSHA and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience setting dies with blow-offs and oilers.

• Technical Skills: Proficient in reading blueprints and performing complex inspections.

• Licensing: Ability to obtain a forklift license with attachments.

• Physical: Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs safely.

• Tools: Must possess a rolling tool cart and personal tools (micrometer, calipers, socket sets, etc.).
