Assembly Supervisor - Manufacturing 

Location: Johnson County, Indiana

Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 base + Benefits, Holidays, Vacation

Role Overview 

The Assembly Supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day assembly operations within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on executing production plans, coordinating resources, and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output.

This position is hands-on, requiring strong leadership on the shop floor while driving performance, maintaining compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role plays a key part in fostering a productive, organized, and safety-focused work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Daily Operations

• Lead and manage daily assembly operations to meet production schedules and customer requirements
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and secondary operations to ensure efficient workflow
• Monitor production performance and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Analyze reports and operational data to support decision-making
• Maintain organized work areas and uphold housekeeping standards

People Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop assembly department employees and team leads
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and engagement
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
• Support training initiatives and partner with HR as needed

Quality & Standardized Work

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, work instructions, and control plans
• Address defects and corrective actions with Quality teams
• Support ISO and customer-specific requirements

Continuous Improvement & Operational Discipline

• Identify and implement process improvements
• Support waste reduction and workflow optimization
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Work with Quality, Maintenance, and other teams to resolve issues
• Build strong internal relationships to support operations

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of production processes and quality systems
• Microsoft Office proficiency
