Position Summary

Express Employment is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Digital Press Operator to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have experience in digital printing, strong technical skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality printed materials in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain Canon digital press systems to produce high-quality print jobs
  • Use Fiery software to manage print queues, color settings, and job workflows
  • Review job tickets and ensure specifications (stock, color, quantity, finishing) are met
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on equipment
  • Monitor print quality and make adjustments as needed to ensure consistency
  • Load paper, toner, and other supplies as required
  • Work closely with prepress and finishing departments to meet production deadlines
  • Ensure all jobs are completed accurately and on time
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Follow all company safety and operational procedures

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–3 years of experience operating digital presses (preferred)
  • Experience with Fiery or similar RIP/workflow software
  • Strong understanding of color management and print production processes
  • Ability to read and interpret job tickets and instructions
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a commercial print environment
  • Knowledge of variable data printing
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (especially Acrobat)

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced production setting
  • May require evening or weekend shifts depending on workload
