Temp Medical Assistant – Dermatology

Location: Fort Myers, FL
Schedule: Flexible – Full-Time or Part-Time Available through June 19th
Pay: $20–23/hr DOE

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a well-established dermatology practice in Fort Myers. This is a great temporary opportunity for someone with prior dermatology experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures

• Obtain patient history, vital signs, and update medical records

• Administer injections and medications as directed

• Maintain and update electronic medical records using ModMed EMR

• Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and manage referrals

• Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain exam rooms

• Educate patients regarding procedures, medications, and follow-up care

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control protocols

Qualifications:

• Prior dermatology experience required

• Experience using ModMed EMR strongly preferred

• Medical Assistant certification or completion of accredited MA program preferred

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

• Bilingual Spanish is a plus
