Salary: $18 - $32/hr

Position Overview:
We are hiring for two separate mechanic roles. One position focuses on diesel repair in the field and roadside service, while the other focuses on small engine repair in a shop setting, including golf carts and utility vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including trucks and heavy equipment in roadside or field settings
  • Respond to service calls as part of an on-call rotation, including occasional weekends
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on diesel vehicles and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair small engines including golf carts, utility vehicles, and similar equipment
  • Complete work orders, document repairs, and track parts usage
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, whether in the field or shop
  • Follow safety procedures and ensure equipment is operating safely

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of mechanical experience in diesel repair, small engine repair, or both
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently in field service or shop environments
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and occasional weekend work
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work throughout the shift

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with roadside diesel repair or mobile service trucks
  • Familiarity with golf carts, small engine systems, or utility vehicles
  • CDL or ability to obtain one
  • OEM certifications or technical training in diesel or small engine repair

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Combination of outdoor field work and indoor shop environment
  • Exposure to weather conditions during roadside service calls
  • Standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting throughout the shift
  • Moderate to high noise levels depending on equipment and location
  • Use of hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and service vehicles
