Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with leading accounting software and contribute to the financial health of our organization. Candidates should possess strong data entry skills, proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage, and excellent customer service and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Process and record incoming payments using accounting software including Canopy, Biolinks
  • Manage accounts receivable ledger, ensuring accurate tracking of outstanding balances
  • Perform account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data
  • Handle customer inquiries related to billing and payments with professionalism and courtesy
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or overdue accounts
  • Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure proper documentation and compliance
  • Assist in bookkeeping tasks and maintain organized financial records
  • Setup payment for AP and record payments in our accounting system
  • Prepare reports on accounts payable and receivable status for management review
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Canopy, Biolinks
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes, account reconciliation, and bookkeeping principles
  • Experience with reconciliation of bank and credit cards statements
  • Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills for account analysis and problem-solving
  • Effective negotiation skills for payment discussions
  • Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
  • Ability to analyze financial data and generate insightful reports
  • Good math skills for accurate calculations and data verification
  • Familiarity with financial services industry standards is advantageous
