Schedule: Monday - Friday - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

About the Role

Express Employment Guelph is currently recruiting for a Scheduler/Dispatcher for a well-established company in Guelph.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage inspections, testing and preventative maintenance for Fire Life Safety systems
• Ensure all work meets regulatory deadlines and compliance requirements
• Assign and coordinate technicians based on skills, certifications and location
• Dispatch personnel for service calls, emergencies and trouble signals
• Maintain scheduling systems and update job records (appointments, cancellations, reschedules)
• Track inspection due dates and generate compliance reports
• Prepare and collect job documentation, permits and inspection reports
• Communicate with customers (confirmations, updates, inquiries and quotes)
• Coordinate with project managers on installations and upgrades
• Plan for site access, permits and special requirements
• Optimize technician routes, workloads and resource allocation
• Monitor performance metrics and improve scheduling efficiency
• Coordinate multi-system service visits with subcontractors
• Track and manage maintenance contract renewals
• Prioritize and handle emergency response scheduling

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dispatch/scheduling position in the Fire Life Safety Industry
• Reliable transportation to get to and from office
• Someone who can stay calm under pressure and stay organized
• Strong computer skills and record keeping accuracy
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication
• Ability to handle difficult customers and has a positive and eager mindset
• Ability to handle a high paced work environment
